Paypal Query

As you know I have been accepted as a designer but have been told that I need to apply for a paypal account. What type of account do I need to apply for – i.e. should it be for business and should it be for a new business. There are lots of different options and not sure what I am meant to be applying for. I am in the middle of designing a new website and want to add paypal to that eventually as well. Would I be able to use the same paypal for each. I would really appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction.

According to the designer notes there is nothing on how to get a paypal account or what to do once I have it.

Thanks in advance
Annelies

If you want to add the PayPal feature to your web site, then you definitely need the Business one. As to using it here, well, I have a business one and I only have one PayPal account and use it for personal as well as Business. They just need to know WHO to register the account to. You, personally, or your business name. Beyond that, I'm not going to be much help as I registered mine over 10 years ago. Hope you get it figured out soon though.

Thanks Carol

I am a bit stupid when it comes to these types of things, expecially if I have not been told exactly what to do. Don't want to make a mistake then find I have paid for something I don't need. Which normally happens.

Thanks anyway

You don't have to pay to have a PayPal account. This is a FREE service. They get their "payment" in the fees that they collect when money is paid to you, or you pay someone. In the case of CUP, Rob is generously paying the PayPal fees so we don't see it coming out of our Commission checks.

You can open a personal account and then upgrade to business when you need to.
