Question Making Lac'e Cards

I have recedntly come across Lac'e making cards but know little about them other than they look lovely and they are made using a templace and folding the cuts. Is there a tutorial anywhere as I have looked and can't find one. Does anyone have any knowledge of making one?
Thank you
Joanna

You have pretty much hit the nail on the head and answered your own questions

You use metal templates and cut the slits with a craft knife, then fold the cuts you have to create pretty folded designs.

Here are a few links you might like to check out:

Apparently Lace templates have been discontinued from the manufacturer, so if you want templates then buy them now because once the shops / websites sell out they will not be able to buy any more.

Hope this helps!

I love using these templates and also Hot of The Press make the plastic ones which have full instructions on. The ones I have are "Lattice Folds" and they make lovely folds up the spine of a card, see my album and "diamond Folds". I have found quite a few Lace' Templates cheap in the shops now so look around you might get a bargain.

This type of cutting is also called Cut and Fold and templates can be found for this as well. Kamya is a good place to find them (as well as Lacé templates)

You can find similar templates under "Incire" although their templates seem to be a bit more complex, with more folding. If you google incire and look at the images, you'll see some amazing stuff!

no template Lac'e

I had problems buying templates locally so I made lace cards without a template. choose one with only straight lines and photocopy the pic of the template onto the back of your paper. use a scalpel and metal ruler to cut the lines and fold.
