| Best glue for ribbon?
Hi
Can anyone help please? Which is the best type of glue to use for attaching ribbon? I was told that Glossy Accents worked well, but I find it leaves marks on the ribbon. What do others use? Thanks x

Hi, I mostly use double-sided tape, but it depends on the project. |

Hi - I too find that double sided tape works best for most types of ribbon.

I dont usually glue ribbon right down I put DS tape a little on top and bottom and stick a bow or gems near middle to adhere that bit. If you have a sticky xyron machine that is fab for ribbon too. Margaret

I use double sided tape as I find it is cleaner than using glue.

Clear glue gel is good for the back of ribbon bows as it isn't visible through the thickness of the bow. Double sided tape is usually great for ribbons but the more textured ribbon may require the stronger tape like the one with a red backing. Running through the Xiron Creatopia or the little Xyron X, as has already been mentioned, gives an even coating, and there's also a sticky spray for fabric available from Crafter's Companion. The finer the ribbon the more difficult it is to attach it without the adhesive showing. Wrapping ribbon round a mat and attaching to the back is probably best as the adhesive will be at the ends of the ribbon, behind the mat. GG

In addition to double sided tape for attaching to cards I also keep a bottle of clear nail varnish which I dab on the ends of ribbon to stop the ends from fraying. It only needs a very small amount & I've found it doesn't show.

Many thanks again to you all. I think I'll stick (!) with the dst for most things. Going to put another question up, I'm afraid!
