Question Registered Crafter

Hi
It's me again, with another probably daft question. What is a registered crafter? I was assuming that it is someone who has made a card with a cup download. Is this correct? Is there a process to it? Thanks for your help. I'd rather ask daft questions, than pretend I know everything! Love to all. x

Yes you are right but you have to apply to be registered as a cardmaker or a designer.

We used to be called either a cardmaker or a designer but now with v3 they've bundled everyone up and we are all 'crafters'

Look on the main CUP site and you'll find a contact Us (at the bottom) write to that and they'll tell you how to go about being registerd.

I rather think that you are already a Registered Crafter with CUP. Haven't you already been into your Crafter Control Panel and reserved sheets and uploaded a card picture? That means that you are already registered or you wouldn't have been able to upload a card picture to appear with the design sheet/kit you bought and used to make it.

Being a Registered Crafter means that, once you have uploaded a card picture to CUP, so that it is validated and appears on the design sheet you used to make it, should that sheet go on to sell you get a small commission for helping to sell the sheet with your creation. As a New Crafter (up to 10 card pictures uploaded) you get 2p per sale. Bronze Crafters (11 to 100 Cards) get 3p per sale. Silver Crafters (101 to 500 cards) get 4p per sale. You'll find these sort of details in the "Crafter Manual" which is accessable from your "Crafter Control Panel".

Not all CUP customers choose to upload pictures of completed cards to the CUP site, but Crafters who upload more than 10 cards can open a support ticket on CUP, give details of their username here on Craftforums, and then get their Registered Card Maker badge to appear under all their posts, together with access to a further area of the forum resurved for the Registered Crafters.

Hope this helps explain things, but if not, just pop a further question in.

GG
