Just found this site ............I was looking for somewhere that would give me some info on making cards, maybe to put in charity shops.
I've seen some on sale in our local Sue Ryder shop, enjoy card making myself (though I'm no expert I have to admit) and would like to feel I was doing some good.
Due to back trouble I'm limited to what I'm able to do..........card making suits me fine but when I've done all the friends and family then christmas ones I feel a bit lost.
How do I go about doing some for a charity ? Our Sue Ryder seems to be well catered for but we do have a Barnabice shop - do I just go in and hand them over ?
I'm not so bothered about getting something for myself
Be grateful for any ideas................thanks

I make cards for MERUK (Research into ME/CFS) as there is no goverment funding to help people with ME/CFS, which is totally shocking as the amount of sufferes there is.

Been a while since I asked about making cards for charity.............well in the end I make some assorted cards for the care home that Mums in following her stroke. The residents used to have card making as an activity but it got a bit expensive and time consuming for the staff. My cards helped a bit I think for those resiidents who weren't able to get out and buy cards themselves.

| Cards for charities
Hi, I spend my life making cards for charity (I am registered disabled) I spend most of my time making them, and because I cannot get out to sell them, I send batches for free to charities to sell, I have just started a blog (yesterday actually) about crafting for charity with lots of hints and tips. I rely on donations of craft materials too, so can can give you lots of ideas, how to make crafts stretch. Please see my blog on Help Us Do Amazing Things - Charity Cards
JUST TO SAY I HAVENT GOT ANY FOLLOWERS YET, AND WOULD BE PLEASED AS PUNCH IF SOME JOINED XX xx

Hi Ladies, what you have to remember is selling cards they must be copyright free, making cards from freebie sheets is ok if for personal use, but for charities to sell you have to think is there a copyright on them, that is why cup is the ideal site to get your supplies from as they are legal. Ther is a number of PB sites that you can get sheets from, mine included but they will not be free from copyright, as most are done for personal use.

Hi Everyone
So many people are selling/giving their cards to charity, I think its fab and obviously helps so many.
I give most of mine to a Hedgehog Hospital to raise money for the up-keep of the little prickly guys and the rest that I don't give, I sell to raise money for feeding and keeping my own hedgehogs (they aren't pets!) LOL yes mad about hogs!
Happy Crafting

Hi, i like to make cards for charity too, i think the cheapest form is probably cd roms as long as you can afford the paper and ink you can get up to 8 images on 1 page depending who made them, so i do think this is a cheap way |

Hello
I make cards for a local animal rescue charity, I tried to keep them simple using toppers and peel off's but since finding CUP I have been able to make much nicer cards and keeping the cost down because there are animal lovers everywhere so I am able to re-use the sheets I bought to use for the charity in my own card-making projects. But as someone has already mentioned the pound shops are great for additional embellishments and fancy papers/card even if you buy wrapping paper to use, I've even been known to find the odd punch or stamp in a pound shop too, Happy hunting (animal friendly of course )
