I have recently bought a Brother Colour laser printer. The printer and toner are expensive to begin with (compared with inkjet printers) but the print quality is fantastic and the toner lasts for ages ........... and as it's a powder and not an ink it doesn't clog up in nozzles and print stripes where there aren't supposed to be any! lol

I use the CIS system with an Epson printer and its brilliant!

It did take a little while to set up properly, not least because the ink tanks were in the wrong order from what they are on my computer, but it was definitely worth the effort. I would really struggle to go back to cartridges now. The only downside I would say is the fact that the printer still believes there are cartridges so you have to press a little button to reset and it seems it always happens half way through printing a sheet. Other than that, its FANTASTIC!!!!

When my old printer died it was a case of looking for a model that would still take the same system, and at the time it wasn't hard to find one.

I also do a lot of photo printing and I'm hard pushed to tell the difference from using genuine cartridges. To me it is the paper quality that makes more difference.

I have an Epson P50 which is brilliant. It uses 6 ink cartridges and I use compatables from printjets.com. The service is excellent. I usually print my sheet onto matte photo paper and for most things 128grm. is sufficient. I do however set the printer to print on matte photo paper as I like the good clear colours it gives even if it does use a little more ink. Katie

I use a kodak ESP 310 printer with kodak ink. It costs about £20 for the black and coloured inks together and they last along time. I do a lot of printing too.

Love and hugs

I use a Samsung colour laser too and find it excellent as you can adjust the print quality just how you want. Being powder the ink doesn't dry up if you don't use it for a little while. The drawback is not being able to print on photo paper but I don't use that much anyway. A sheet costs me around 0.05c (I live in Spain) to print.
