Well girls, I've been on the phone today to Macmillan Cancer and to C.H.A.S OMG they remembered me, and all your gorgeous cards, it was so good talking to them aain, and, can I tell you they were delighted, no, ecstatic, no, overwhelmed, ah, you get the idea right?? LOL they were well chuffed when I said we'd be helping them out again, so excited, wow, your cards really made an imapct girls, well done you xx in fact, 1 lady asked about a card that was donated last year, she bought it and would love another 1 the same !!!! I reckon it was a Gordon Fraser sheet and there was a man on it wearing speedos??? any ideas folks, I've said I'll see what I can do hee hee, looks like we've done the right thing by showing our comitment to the charities we've helped before, and, it's thanks to the commitment you girls have shown to the group that I am in the position to be able to tell previous charities we're gonna help out again xx strangely enough, on the 1st of July this year it will be exactly a year since I donated the very 1st batch of cards, they were given to Macmillan, and it'll be around then that we'll be handing them cards again, COOL !!!!!! TC everyone Diane xx

P.S, thank you all for sticking with this and giving your time to do a little to help those who need it xxx

It's great to know that the cards donated before made such an impression on the people who had the pleasure of seeing them, apparently, 1st dibbs on the Macmillan cards went to the staff in the office, lots of them were sold within hours haha, excellent news, and this time round we'll hopefully have around 300 cards for Macmillan, last year we donated 137 cards to them and 137 to C.H.A.S, we'll not be splitting them between charities this time round girls. I just hope that you all feel very proud of yourselves xxx I'm delighted that we've managed to keep the group going as long as we have and have helped the charities raise some funds, the lady at Macmillan was telling me that it costs them around 50p to print 1 information leaflet, so, if they can sell one of our cards for £2 that pays for 4 leaflets. I'm sat here with a smile on my face knowing that we have done something good, done a little to help a lot, I'm so proud of all of you and so very grateful for your continued support thanks everyone TC Diane xx

It's good to know that the cards are still comming in to you Diane and that, as a group, we are helping others in need. I've put an envelope with a small number of cards in the post to you. Don't know when it will get there.

Is there going to be a challenge theme for next month, when the cards are going to Macmillan? If so I need to get my thinking cap on I think, and try to get things in the post quicker next time.

Thanks Gwyneth xx and yes there will be a challenge next month and I'm making it easier for you all too lol I have asked the charities if they would like a "theme", I'll wait for them to get back to me, as we're going round the houses again, some of you will know that last year we had a theme for 2 of the charities, Breakthrough wanted pinks on their cards as they were being donated around the time for breast cancer awareness month and R.N.I.B asked for Xmas cards to sell at their fundraising event, I would hope to be able to do the same for them this time round, it may mean we go round the charities in a different order so that we can accomadate their needs, I'll let you all know what's happening and when. For now though folks we're still collecting cards for Barnados and remember, I'm still collecting stamps to give to Kerry West so that her mum can take them to donate to Hearing Dogs, if any of you want to help with the stamps then all you need to do is cut them off the envelopes, leaving a good amount of paper around them, then post them off to me,along with your cards and when I have a good amount I'll post them on to Kerry TC Diane xx

hubby with shingles!

Thanks for your best wishes - he was really ill yesterday as he had a major reaction to some new painkillers - thank goodness for NHS24 - they are such a comfort!

I am really pleased that all your hard work in reaching back out to the charities is paying such great dividends for them. Let's keep up the good work girls!

Hi folks xx I've just got off the phone to a lady at C.H.A.S, she asked me to pop in and thank you all for your continued support, so here I am letting you know, you have no idea how pleased they are to be getting our cards again xx Now, the lady I spoke to, Amy, has given me a theme for the challenge when it comes to the time to donate to C.H.A.S, I've got it written down and we'll be running with it in around 6 weeks time, after we've helped Macmillan again xx I know that you'll all find the challenge Amy has set is a dawdle, I've also asked Amy if she would pop in and judge the cards you send in for them. Now, a little reminder, the cards for Barnados has now ended, I know there's a couple more on the way as we speak, but that's that 1 over and done with, tomorrow I plan to get them all counted and photographed ready to pop into my albums, so watch out for those. We are now making cards to donate to Macmillan, in fact, I'm off to phone them now to see if they too would like to set a challenge theme TC Diane xx
