Thank you all for your congratulations.

With all the lovely cards that were entered, I couldn't even pick a favourite, as my eye was drawn to one, and then another, and then another. So when I received a PM from Diane to say that the winner had been announced in the challenge thread I clicked through, eager to see which of the cards had won and who had made it. I was gobsmacked when I saw my name!

You are right Diane, you are awful! - but most definately in a good way! The hard work you do each month far outweights the little bit of time I sat in bed with my Laptop on a tray in front of me doing a little research into the layout of raised dots in Braile to make a Happy Christmas greeting. Each of us who make a small number of cards to send in each month we are able just do a little bit, but you Diane pull it all together:
sort out the charities; sort out the stickering of cello bags with the charities stickers when needed; sort out the taking of pictures and uploading; arrange details of the challenges, the theme, who's to judge, etc.; and last, but not least, delivering the cards to each of the chosen charities.
Not only does all the work you do benefit the charities we've been supporting, but you've drawn a lot of people into the Charity Cards group to work together. The few cards each of us make as individuals wouldn't raise a huge amount of money for any chairity, but when everything is pulled together, and the number of cards comes to over 150, I'm sure that the sum of money raised will make a difference.

Like several others have said, I'm looking forward to hearing what the charity and the challenge for January will be. Right at the moment I've got enough of a challenge making Christmas cards, like many of you I guess. I'd say, enjoy the break from organising the charity cards Diane - but I'm guessing that you'll be busy with all your other projects and not having a break at all.

Gwyneth, don't you underestimate the work you put into the card honey , everyone worked hard on ALL the cards that got sent in for this month, the same way everyone works hard every month xxx and I owe you all a huge debt of thanks xxxxx I get the good end of the deal, I get to see, in persn so to speak, all the beautiful cards you wonderful girls send in, and, what you all have to remember, there would be NO Charity Cards without ALL your hard work, without you girls it just couldn't happen, so 3 cheers to you all xxx Long may Charity Cards cointinue HIP HIP HOORAY HIP HIP HOORAY HIP HIP HOORAY !!!!!!!!!!! I think I can safely say that in the time Charity Cards has been going we've easily managed to make enough cards to raise well over £7000,( I really should try to work it out) it's by no means going to change the world, but every little helps xxxxxx We'll stick with the 11 charities we've already helped, unless any of them pull out, and, as you all know, leave some time spare for any other charitable things that come along. WELL DONE GWYNETH XXX WELL DONE 1 AND ALL XXX
TC Diane xxxx

Here's Gwyneths winning entry again, saves you all having to look for it hee hee, if you click on the picture it will enlarge for you, you'll see the panel where Gwyneth used a craft tool to emboss into the card to make a braille Xmas greeting, very clever of Gwyneth to think of searching the internet and finding out how to do this well done xxx
