card for printing

I love the cup designs but find that when I print them out, they look a little 'flat' if I use ordinary white card. What type of card do you use to print our your designs, as all the cards look to have a lot more body than mine do. Any help would be appreciated.

I print my designs onto glossy photo paper, then cut this out and stick onto my normal card base.
I find the glossy photo paper gives a lovely shine to the designs.
I get mine from Tesco and it is 50 sheets for £4.97 so at 10p per sheet to it's good value for money

I always use glossy photo paper and dtick t to my main card. It really brings the colours out. We have £1 and 99p shops in Brmingham where I can get a pack of 15 or 12 sheet and they are good quality too. Normal card makes it sort of 'muffled'.

I like to use coated matt paper which is 120 gsm then stick it to thin card. Makes the black especially look like velvet. Can buy it in Sainsbury, Asda and WH Smith.

Thanks for that, will give both types a try. I like the sound of the coated matt paper, and we have poundland and 99p stores as well, so will check out their glossy.

Annelies

I use this too. My printer will not take photo paper as it is too slippy and does not feed through. I buy mine from Staples
