I agree with what all you ladies have said.It is very difficult to decide what the customer will like.I spend hours designing sheets but always have to have in mind that what i like might not be to everyone's taste. What i try to do is make different styles and occasions in the hope that people like them. The funny thing is the ones i think "i really like that" sometimes sells 1 or 2 and then the ones that i think wont sell a lot usually do.Its swings and rounderbouts.Just keep going Edna and i am sure things will improve now with v3.

Edna - have you uploaded your card onto the gallery here - that may help? What doesnt help is the gloomy weather we are having, trying to take a good photo can be an ordeal at times, even under artificial light which makes everything yellow (or maybe that's my lightbulb!!) I think if you can stand it and wait for a popular kit/sheet to pop up, then having one of those in your CUP gallery means more people visiting. I agree you have to be fast and hotfoot it through paypal, making your BP shoot skyhigh let alone the clammy hands and sweaty palms (selling it here!!) Good luck!

I agree its frustrating and like June as as designer you just can not guess what makes something popular, if only we knew?? I also advertise the cardmakers name on facebook and twitter everytime a cardmaker makes up one of my cards to try and get both my design and the cardmakers card out there, although I am sure there must be other things I could do am a bit of a techno phob, but any of you that have ideas that will help us all let us know (along with the idiots guide I need to do it on the computer LOL)

Why not work through some of the designers & search for gold stars - have picked up quite a few older ones with gold stars by doing this & of course you are less likely to be beaten to it at checkout. I have been surprised how many sheets there are with stars that have already sold loads - & have picked up quite a few sales from those.

I have all my current Showcased cards that still have (or did when I put them up) their gold stars.

They tend to get lost down the pages and so I thought I'd put them up to see if they could lose their gold star. Not sure if any have gone but your welcome to look through them.
