| Spray Glitter
I bought some spray on glitter and I'm really disappointed. First it distorts the paper making it wrinkle and the glitter seems really fine. I expect I'm spraying too close but has anyone got any handy tips to get it at its best please???

Hi Joanna
I use crafters companion spray glitter all the time and don't have any probs.I have made up a spray booth and hold it at a distance..also you don't really need much.It does'nt look as if it has been sprayed with much until it dries it is very fine but I feel it is just enough to give that bit of bling.Hope this helps

| Hi, Its funny Joanna posting this, I have been thinking about getting the glitter and the adhesive sprays, I use the gloss all the time and am addicted to it, back theres a knack to it.. i wonder if the glitter might be the same knack, a little and a couple of layers but let each one dry?? just a thought.. xx |

OOOOO spray glitter. I can just see it now, everything in the craft room having a shiny glittery glow to it. I have a spray both my hubby made but I still manage to spray other things as well. It could be no end of fun.
I'm bad enough with glitter glue. I managed to get it all down the wall the other day. I forgot it was a new tube and instead of cutting the top off like I should I just squose the bottle. The top shot off and glitter glue went everywhere. forunately it was irridescent glitter so it doesn't show up too much because no matter how quick I cleaned up some got left!!

Tip 1 - spray it outside or in your garage (without car in)
Tip 2 - plenty of newspaper under your project
Tip 3 - I spray from about 15 cms away
It gives a great effect but a pest that it goes everywhere.
Good luck
Amanda

Yes I have the silver and gold Crafters Companion spray glitter and it's wonderful stuff! Sprays evenly and gives a light dusting of glitter, very pretty and doesnt mask the original design! I put the item on the floor and then spray gently over it from a height, works for me |

Anne, sorry I had to laugh – is 'squose' the bottle a new word?

I wish you lived closer Anne, we'd make a great pair! I sneezed when opening a pot of ordinary glitter - nice purple at that! The cat got covered, the dining room carpet (beige) got covered, I got covered - even my OH's beard had a certain shimmer to it!
Anyway - I use the crafters companion spray glitter and have had mixed results to be honest. It looks great on card stock, but I do spray very lightly (too mean to give it a heavy coat!) I put the card inside an old boot box to stop any accidents and spray. I don't like it on vellum or acetate though - it wrinkled the vellum badly and left a misty film on the acetate.
Hope that helps a little.

I started doing what Julene Harris did in a CUPTV........Hairspray!!
The video I did with Zoe #60 you can see it.
Very fine but didn't curl the paper as much as I've had happen with other spray glitters. Dried quickly too.
