I use glue with acetate if I can hide the glue under a gemstone, die cut, flower etc! Or if it's for the sleeve of a card then I add a strip of double sided tape to the spine of the card on the back and then add ribbon down the spine of the card or a peel off strip to hide the tape! Or fasten using brads! You get so many pretty brads now that they are good as fasteners! I also use my sewing machine and run a border of fancy stitching round the edge to keep it in place!

I use a Vellum tape runner - yes it does still show a little, but I find it less so than other glues. I did try using stick & stay and that hardly shows, but doesn't always stick acetate all that well - the corners lifted, so like Jane I used a brad to cover and also secure the corners. Strange though the middles are fine! If I have acetate that can have to edges covered I use the red high tack tape and thats works as well as anything else I've ever tried, but does show through if you need a clear edge.

I also use Art Institute clear glue - brilliant stuff, goes on white, dries clear - you only need a dab! Not totally failsafe but better than most at being invisable!
