Is that setting on the P50 do you know as I got my one yesterday and when i printed onto card there were black splodges on it so I changed the settings to envelope as an envelope can be thick so to trick the printer. I couldnt see an option for thick paper.

But it says Thick paper & Envelopes so the setting you are using is the same probably....
