Well done on passing the 200 mark Tracy.
Funnily enough I kept on setting myself targets last year, after starting the end of February 2010, saying that I'd do 15 to 20 a month as and when I was well enough. But somehow or another I kept on seeing more and more sheets I liked, and had more and more ideas of how to make them up, cardmaking turned up to be one thing I could do even in bed when I was having average days, and somehow or another the figure kept on creaping up and up and I passed Silver and onto Gold way before I expected. If somebody had told me this time last year that I'd have passed the 500 mark before the end of the year I'd have told them that they were barking mad. After reaching Gold I then decided to only make up half a dozen or so cards a month, but somehow or another I've made over 150 more since then. Although I try to only buy CUP items with gold stars still attached, so that I've got a chance of getting a few pennies back to fund my next lot of crafting, I'm not aiming for a higher level now. Far too big a jump for me. As Lorraine just said "it can be scary when you look at the distance to the next level". I'm just enjoying making cards and interacting with my crafty friends here on Craftforums and on Facebook, as well as putting together my blog posts.
Have fun with your cardmaking everybody.
GG

Good going! What is really scary is when you total up how much you have spent on the sheets themselves. My sister asked me how much I had spent over the year that I have been making the cards, and I said I did not know. She then pointed out that when, and if I start to sell my cards I will have to know for reporting income. So when I got home last week from visiting her I totalled it up. It scared the heck out of me, and I have not even figured out how much I have spent on ink and paper. It is amazing that it does not seem like much is spent when you look at each order individually. Needless to say, I have not purchased any new sheets in several weeks. The new 20% discount is tugging at the pocket book though!

Well done Tracy. It's amazing how fast the numbers creep up on you, but I have to agree with Deborah, I must start selling some cards to fund my addiction, otherwise my husband will have me going to cardmaker's anonymous...lol |
