A little Tip

A little tip for the new Cameo owners... The carrier sheet seems to be really sticky so what I have done is cut away about an inch either side of the cover for the carrier and placed it back on so the middle is covered, this will grip your card still but not the middle, and as your using bigger card it tends to bend slightly this will stop this happening.

Hope this is useful to some.

Thumbs up Thanks!

Thanks for the tip Tina! Think I'll use one of my old A4 cutting mats when I do my first cut......just in case
Didn't think to order a spare cameo mat when I placed my order.....too excited and forgot!

Hi Tina

So pleased to read your tip about this! Just got my Cameo today and found the carrier sheet to be far too sticky that I could hardly peel my card off it! I don't have any of the tools to remove the little bits either so it has taken me forever to peel them off! (So surprised that it didn't come with one!) I had no idea if it was supposed to be this sticky or not as I have never used a cutting machine before!

I'll definitely be trying your tip!

Thanks!

Oh you will be busy then Sandie please take it slowly and test cut everything... poeple are haing issues with the machine but if they take it slowly and not give the machine anything in sight I am sure it will work itself out... Please shout if you need any help...

And as your in the states invest in some Krylon repo spray for when your carrier loses it's sticky...

I found a repositional glue - Whacky Tac, it comes in a bottle with a sponge applicator, so you just swipe back and forth across your mat. Eliminates the problem with over spray or finding a place to use the Krylon.
I also have a cameo and I use some extra gazelle mats (12 inch) and some old Wishblade (8.5 x 12) I had, because I do not like the flimsy mats that came with the cameo.
