Hi all. I am a huge fan of Pinflair and all of their products and have lately been using it on all of my decoupage instead of foam pads as I find it gives you a bit more time for movement etc.. However this afternoon I'm merrily crafting away and using good old Pinflair when I went to use my syringe and can't get the glue out. I've got an air bubble but there is no way it wants to shift. Any ideas? I've also bought their Spot On syringes for the smaller areas and again have got the glue stuck so have thrown the syringes away as well. I always leave some left in the syringe before putting the top on but I just can't get the rest of it out. Unfortunately there is quite a bit of glue left in the syringe so I've had to use a new one. What a waste.

I went to my pinflair glue last weekend & thought it was solid as I hadn't used it for weeks and couldn't get the dried bit out of the end so got a sharp pokey tool out and stuck up the syringe. You guessed I got it stuck but it had made enough of an air hole to allow me to pull the plunger out. I then got my tweezers to try & pull the lump of glue out & found that it hadn't set at all. What a mess I ended up in
Glue on my tweezers, pokey tool (that I managed to get out) and my hands everything was so sticky it took an age to clean up & the metal stuff just didn't dry.

I was moaning to my OH & he said what about getting the Brasso out to clean them. I'd forgotten that it's fantastic at removing sticky labels from some things & as it was non porous stuff it should be OK. 10 mins later & stickiness gone
Won't be doing that one again in a hurry!!

Anyone know how to get Pinflair Gel Glue out of clothes. I managed to get a spot on a brand new top. I emailed Pinflair for advice but they couln't be bothered to answer.

Hi have you tried a wet wipe but usually if you let it dry overnight you should be able to rub it off. Sorry to hear that, Pinflair are usually really good in replying.

Have you tried 'Swarfega' or 'sticky stuff remover'? But you must use it before you wash your clothes otherwise its a devil of a job to remove. I have a couple of pairs of black trousers with silver patches on - these are my indoor trousers now.

I've been using the same Pinfair glue gel syringe now for over two years - yes it does get bunged up now and again but I use a toothpick to make a hole in it and then you can pull the plunger out. Then I use an old craft knife [especially for this purpose] and dig the hardened lump out and you now have a syringe of glue to use again, and don't get in a mess.

Do you squeeze a little bit out of the syringe before you put the yellow cap on when you have finished gluing? I got that tip from a C&C Pinflair episode ages ago when I first starting using it. Also get a blob of glue on the end of the tube after filling the syringe. It does work.

Another tip is to use a cocktail stick in the end of the syringe to store it until you need it next time, especially if you lose your yellow top! works wonders for me but you must push it into the top to create a seal. Most of the time I do leave a little blob at the end to seal it with or without the top. It will depend on your personal preference and where you store your glue, am luck, I have a work area in my conservatory and everything stays out unless we have people visit!

Cocktail sticks and cotton buds are also staple 'tools' in my tool box & pokey tool is brilliant as others have said for digging out the hard core if you need to.

Another tip I have is using a miniture drinks bottle to store some white spirit and when I need to I dip in a cotton bud and use that to wipe anything sticky off my scissors. x

After several incidents of my Pinflair glue getting 'bunged up' in the tube (despite always squeezing some out before putting the top back on), and then putting holes in the plastic tube with a pokey tool trying to 'unbung' it, I have given up and now use a different brand of glue - comes in a metal tube and never gets bunged up!!

Sorry to hear that, never had a problem been using Pinflair for years, I would contact Pinflair to see if they can help you. I have had glue in my syringe for over a month and its fine, the same with the spot on syringe and one big tube has lasted me well over a month.
