I do use my bow maker and find it one of my best every purchases, but yes it did take me a while to master it, and yes, did struggle with bows made on wider ribbon, so my Heath Robinson came into its own! I went off an an adventure to the local car boot sale and came back with a crib board! Because it has so may 'holes' I can place the pegs much further apart, giving me more room to straighten and sort out the ribbon as I'm making the bow. Not sure if it'll work for anyone else, as I am an awkward but fiddly crafter, but it may be worth a try!

I don't use a bow maker. Someone taught me to make them by hand using one piece of ribbon. If you want my to do a Video tutorial I'll see if I can, let me know

Hi Kim, I have just put a couple of cards in the gallery where I have wrapped the ribbon around the mat, securing at the back and tied a faux bow.
They are Pink in Paris, and Delightful Dahlias.
