Smile Candle Making

Hi all - I thought I would pop this thread in here to see if anyone else on the forum does candle making. I started making candles about 2 years ago & mainly make scented votives & tealights. I love all the different fragrances you can add now to candles & experiment alittle with creating my own scents. I have recently started a blog which I hope to be able to update reguarly with candle making tips & fragrant types & descriptions.

Hi, my dad makes candles both modern and historic. He's been doing it for around 15 years and loves it.

Hi Sandra,

I make candles too. I use rapeseed wax and soya wax to make mine. I like to make cupcake candles and I also make different shape pillar candles and a variety of container candles.

Wow Sarah you are very creative with candle making - most of the time I make votives as that is what most people ask me for. I do add scent to my candles & am always trying out new fragrance oils. I have just started to use decal paper & put my own images onto candles which sometimes can be abit tricky. I am hoping to add new fragrances to my blog over the next couple of days with descriptions + some useful info about candle making so when you have a spare moment, pop over & take a look Happy crafting Sandra x

i just started candle making, we have more types of candles than we have scents so far, but I find that appearance is just as important as the sent it brings. also, soy natural candles sell and work better than regular candles

A fellow Kenitish candle freak here too!

I love to decorate them mainly, but do make my own when I have half the chance, mainly because I like the fragrances! I want to have a go at gel candles next - I have bought the stuff to do it, now I just need to find the time.
