I can see both good and bad with it to be honest. I think its a fab. idea if you sell homemade cakes and want to decorate them up a bit. I'm not on about cake decoration as such, just adding a few shapes to a pretty basic sponge cake and the like to make them stand out a bit. I don't think it'd be any good for professional cake decorators though as the images all look kind of bulky if you know what I mean - none of the delicate roses, fine line icing etc. I think its expensive too for what it is, but having said that if I had a spare few hundred I didn't know what to do with, yes, I think I'd probably buy one (my passion for kitchen gadgets coming out!)
I was lucky enough to get to play with one for an evening (my friend has bought one) and yes, its easy enough to use, is fun and did make some pretty candle shapes and a fab. teddy bear but all 'flat' as you say.
A natty luxury kitchen gadget I reckon!
And no, not once did either of us lick our fingers - eeeewwwwwwww!
