Hi. Yes, I saw it too. Fantastic. But you'd have to be making a lot of cakes to make the expense worthwhile. I can see it being a great addition to professional cake decorators or cake shops though. GG

I have just looked at the cricut cake video and it looks quite good but being a professional cake decorator I would not buy something like this because when you are asked to decorate a cake you always get people asking you for what you do not have, thus it is far easier to cut most things freehand with a scalpel and of course it cannot do modelling which is what so many people want nowadays. As we are all designers, well some of us, it is better that we do our own designing. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I have to admit that it did look impressive, but what you really need to think about is the fact that if there isn't a particular flat design that someone wanted on their cake; then you would have to think about purchasing another cartridge which at £60 a time is not cheap.

Yes I saw it as well thought it was a great idea if you had to make lots of cakes like cup cakes for schools etc, it's a considered purchase not for me, although I do take your point Annelies looking at it from a design point of view, it's a clever idea. I found the demonstrator although very enthusiastic kept licking her fingers etc a real turn off, must be me.

Hi Jennifer, I must admit I wouldn't like to see someone licking their fingers all the time. When I was deccorating I was forever washing my hands.

oh go on....I saw it too and yeah the licking bit did make me think that it wasnt the best sales trick but loved the concept but who would pay £500 for something that made a tea pot cake and other flat designs. looks a good idea but i do think that it would be a gadget to gather dust......or maybe thats just me
