Hi,

I have been looking at CUP for a little while now, and purchased the magazine, which is full of ideas and the free downloads are great, with the free Discs i have made some cards, and from the free downloads i have made a few get well cards, and birthday cards, but now i would like to design some of my own, the question being, as im fairly new to all this, is how? what programmes do you use, do you get all the fonts, images, colours etc from scratch, i particulary love the decoupage cards.

Hi and welcome to the family, so glad to hear you're loving the freebies with the mag xx as for becoming a designer, which programmes to use etc, why not have a look in the Ask an expert/designer section of the forum, there have been a few people asking about becoming a designer and the designers have popped in some replies, if you don't want to trawl through all the posts/threads then why not pop a question in that section yourself, you'll get designers popping in with suggestions TC Diane xx

We are very happy to have you here and enjoying the mag. Please do ask any question you want, we always like to help were we can. We do like to hear about your successes so please post them. If you want a moan, this is the right place too. As for learning a bit more, do have a look through the tutorials and CUP TV Episodes to help you with some of the cards as we have a lot of different kinds here and a lot to choose from, as well as the normal. I have just put a CUP TV (77) on for a stunning 3D card that is really easy to make with 19 different designs. I do hope you like it. The biggest thing about designing your own is copyright. If you arre making them for your own personal use thats OK. Decoupage designs can be hard work but well worth the effort. Have you downloaded the 4 freebees off this site?
