Hello,yes I am a real newbie here, Starting from scratch,you might say ! I always drool over the beautiful handmade cards though,and have made a start by ordering some great kit downloads,which I have printed up,and they look terrific

Whether they look as good after I've had my hands on them ...... we shall see.

This is a new venture for me,as my main crafts are jewellery making,glass painting and pencil portraits,but I can't wait to find out all about it.Looking through the magazines with their projects, and the supplies needed, I must admit I am a bit mind- boggled !Still,all will become clear,we hope

Hi, and welcome Andrea.

I've only been a member of this forum for around ten days myself, although I've been making cards for years. With all your crafting background I'm sure you'll soon be totally engrosed in card making as well, and there's no reason why you can't include your other crafts in your card making as well. I made some jewelry for my niece as a Christmas presant and presented it to her in a box I'd made myself with a hand made card. There is such a variety of different skills being used by the card makers on this forum. Just browse the different albums for inspiration and then just go for it.

Hi Andrea and all.

I too am a newbie. I have only been crafting since the beginning of february. I was getting annoyed with the ever increasing price of cards so decided to start making my own. I have no crafting experience previous so i am just going with the flow. I have made a few stinkers but also some very beautiful cards which have not hung around for long on showing them to family and friends.
I am obsessed with making cards and my collection of goodies for my kit has grown very large very fast. I have never been one to stick at something for long but this is turning out to be the best thing i ever tried.

Hi Andrea and Babs, welcome to the forum. You will find the forum completely addictive and since you are both card makers you will probably find CUP even more obsessive. Looking forward to see your cards very soon.
