Hi eveyone,
My name is Antonia and I have been designing Christmas cards for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. So far I have used a Sizzix Big Shot machine to cut templates but am considering now buying a Silhouette SD. Can anyone answer a question for me please? If I buy a template to use with the Silhouette, can I use it multiple times or just the once?

Hi Antonia.
As a electronic cutting machine I don't think you can beat a CraftROBO Silhouette. It's the one I went for and I've not regretted it. Of course it has some quirks and works better with some types of paper/card than others. But once you've worked out the best settings for your fabourite cardstock then away you go and cut out as many as you want of any particular design you've either bought via craftsUprint, or got free with the cutter or from the CraftROBO site, or wherever. The beauty is that you only need to make a small outlay to get the designs you specifically want, rather than buying cartridges of hundreds of designs where you may only use a 10th of them, like with another electronic cutter, and also, if you want a specific design, or a specific image cut out as decoupage (provided there are no copyright issues involved), you can work out the cutting lines yourself in the software and create a cutting file that does exactly what you want. GG

First of all welcome to this friendly forum. There are a lot of different cutting machines on the market and the Robo is brill. The only thing I don't like is that they don't cut deep enough. I need to cut everything at least twice. If you get the one with the magic eye it will cut out pictures for you too. Any file you buy from CUP you can use as many times as you like. I have quite a few on site and you can do what you want with your finished card and make as many as you want to sell where you want. Each designer have their own terms of use that you will find below their creations. I love my Robo. Do ask any questions you want as we love to help each other

Hi,
Thanks to everyone who welcomed me to the forum and gave me advice on cutting machines. Have decided to go for a Silhouette machine. Love the website and can't wait to get started using some cutting files.
