Hello from Sunny (and snowy) Stuttgart!

Heya!

I'm Nicola (aka Quartz) and I'm a noooooooobie!
I was googling for some other random crafting stuff when i stumbled across you lot here.

Can't wait to get stuck in to all the banter and sharing techniques.

I'm English born and bred, but now I live in Germany - and it's an ace place to live. At the moment, I've only found a few places who sell supplies so over the past year or two, my hobby as been on the backburner since having to master a new language, but i've got a really good supplier back in the UK who deliver to Deutschland, so i'm back in the swing of it all.

I've been a big crafter all of my life - and have been in phases addicted to all types of crafts, over the past few years I've become addicted again to making jewellery - and other crafts have been put on the backburner, but once again i am getting the "itch" for card making, sewing, scrapbooking ... oh and more! That i thought it was about time again to spread my wings and creep out of that "jewellery-pidgeon-hole!"

I always do my best not to be a fair-weather forumer, so hopefully you'll be seeing me poking around the boards

Hi Nicola, Welcome to CUP. Glad your getting to grips with the language in Germany. I grew up in Germany (Dad was in the army) I used to live in Celle, near Hanover and then moved to Bielefeld, It's a lovely country. I used to go skiing to the Harz mountains almost every weekend. I am the president of a dog refuge here and all my colleagues are German, we send 90% of our dogs there, (the germans are BIG dog lovers) and there are a lot of Germans here in Tenerife, they LOVE handmade cards, specially with a dog theme. You'lll have fun here, everyone is LOVELY and very helpful, I only wish I had ound the site earlier, anyway back of to make more cards, look forward to chatting. Tchuss.xxxxx

Welcome to the forum Nicola. I'm sure you'll feel right at home in no time. Hopefully you'll have time to put up photos of your cards in an album for us all to see now that you're picking up this craft again.

I can't wait to start up with cards again - until then though you'll have to put up with my jewellery *hopefully that is ok!*
