cd wanted

Hi there i am new to this site and wondered if anyone can help. My friend had a birthday card made for me for my recent birthday but it had been printed on a printer complete with a verse insert and photos of when i was younger. I wondered if there was a cd-rom available to do this sort of thing. I have the ultimate verse designer cd but the designs on this card are not on this cd so i wondered if there were any other ones available on the market. I would be grateful for any feedback, thankyou.

Hi Moira.

There are a lot of CD-ROMs and different pieces of software that can be used to make cards. If you are looking for something specific you have received then I'd ask the person who gave it to you about how it was done. With so many different ones available it would be difficult to hazzard a guess as to what was used.

Sounds to me like maybe it was done on an online card place. Or somewhere like Vista print.

You upload photos you want to use, select a verse, and the online place makes the design. Then you get a link to download the file which is just printed out then. Or is mailed to the person.

But Gwenyth is right.......there is so many different software programs around it would be hard to guess which one was used.

I'd ask the person who gave it to you where she got it done or what she used.

Hi everyone, i cannot really ask the person because she runs a shop where she does them and she may think that i want to pinch her ideas. Oh well i will just have to have a look round and see if i can find it somewhere.
