Hi Gywneth. Aw thanks so much for that what a great help I have spent 2 days trying to work out how to register, can I ask, when sites offer download backing paper are they sent on an email to print off as I do not live near a craft store this would be really helpful, I suppose the quality depends on the printer I use, which is ok, Thanks again for that I am now of to spend some of hubbys' money, I am spoiled for choice it's a great site I want to try everything at one time. l'll keep you posted on how I get on.

Certainly everything on CUP is sent as a download that you save to your computer and can print off again and again and when you have had practise, you can change sizes etc. I think if any site offers a download it would be the same. I know I have lots of different downloads saved on my computer from magazines etc as well as my wonderful CUP collection. CUP do also offer a service where they will print sheets for you and send them in the post. Have fun spending.

Hi Dena.Nice to hear from you. There are many people here that have other crafting interests other than card-making & all are welcome. If you read Diane Scotlands "How To" posts like I did,you will soon find your way around.I have never had any of my questions go un-answered - and some of the questions I asked were/& still are pretty stupid !!
As for thanking every post - if you look at the bottom RHS you will see a Thanks button.Click that & most times this will suffice. As for spelling - who cares?
Anyhow, welcome & happy crafting. Gillie xxx

Thank you Ladies for the wonderful welcome. I wonder if anyone can tell me where Im going wrong, I ordered some new files along with some backing paper and have saved them to my computer, when I try to open the valentine paper I am getting a message saying the file cannot be opened because either the picture has been deleted or the site cannot be found, does it require some other softwear, also can anyone tell my why the Robo is stopping and starting during cutting this has not happened before, any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Dena

Hi Dena
Valentine paper - If it is a single sheet background then it will be a .jpg file and should open in whichever software you open pictures in. You could try re-downloading the file just in case there was some sort of glitch during the download the first time. If there's still a problem then I think you need to open a Support Ticket - here - and give your order number, the CUP number of the item you are having a problem with, and give details of the problem. It could be that the file had been removed from CUP for some reason during the period between when you put it in your basket and when you finished the checkout and went to download. I had that happen once and just had a message come up instead of the downloaded image, but I can't remember what the message said now.
CraftROBO stopping and starting - which software are you using with it? (Robo Master or Silhouette Studio?) I seem to remember something like this being discussed before and an upgrade to the latest version of the cutting software resolved the issue. Is it a simple cutting design, or is it a really complicated design as my experience is that there appears to be more "thinking time" on the part of the computer and CraftROBO if a design is very intricate and filling the whole of the A4 cutting area. If it is a one off issue it could also be some other software, such as anti virus software doing a full system scan in the background, using a lot of your computer's resources and therefore slowing down the computer's processing and sending the information to your CraftROBO.

| Craft robo problems
Hi Gwyneth, Thanks again, I think I have managed to get access to the paper, I packed everything up at went to my sons so he managed to open the paper files as for the robo some time ago my son had installed a 5.50 software program to try some of his work on it and it had been working fine, we had to send our computer away last week as we were having some problems therefore everything had been erased he then reinstalled the software and the robo was not giving me the option to cut I was using the silouette program, tonight we deinstalled the 5.50 software and reinstalled the 4.40 thinking this would solve the problem but still with the robo I have no option to cut.
The file I was cutting earlier was just a wee bag taken from the library in silouette and had cut it a few times before and it was ok but today the robo was starting and stopping, I have since tried some of the borders I purchased and they seem to be ok.
I am about ready for giving up, I am wondering if I will ever get to the stage you ladies are where you are very compedent and knowledgable
its great to have you to talk to and I realy appreciate your help Thanks

Hi Dena
I'd definately recomend puting the latest version of whichever software you are using with your CraftROBO. I don't think that there has been a version 5.50 of either software that will work with it.
The latest version of the ROBO Master is version 5.1, and the latest version of the Silhouette Studio is 2.4 as far as I can find out. The latest software can be found - here.
I'm wondering whether you've just re-installed the ROBO Master softwware but not re-installed the driver software for your CraftROBO. It's the one listed under the "Robomaster Software v5.1" on the download page.
Try making sure that you've got the latest versions of the software and re-try to cut again. If you've cut your design before with no problems, and what your having problems with now is a small cut, then it does look as if your problems could be software related following having everything erased. GG

Hi Gwyneth, Ignore me, the software version was 5.1 not 5.5
I think I will leave it now untill my son comes back although I have a sneaky felling he is avoiding me, I am constanly on the phone with some problem on another, never mind we will get there with all the help I am getting from you ladies, patience is a virtue, pity I dont have much, too eager. Still good fun. Thanks
