| Hello from New Hampshire
I've been making cards for a few years but new to CUP and I LOVE it. I do have a question about printing. I find if I do a design as a full page I miss some of the design does anyone have any hints?
I know UK paper sizes are different to here but I have ordered Bob's photo papers so I'm hoping that will help as long as they will fit my printer.
BTW I love it that back home you are getting snow and ours has almost gone. We usually have a LOT of the stuff around this time of year. Mind you winter is far from over here so I've probably just jinxed us.

Hi pamsmum and welcome to the forums, I can't answer your question about the printing and paper but have had problems myself with paper I have used not printing the whole sheet. I just changed my paper by all accounts Bobs paper is the the bees knees hopefully someone else will have an answer for you.
hugs,
Mary xx

Hi, I live in Wisconsin so I will try to help you. I'm not sure what operating system you use, but with Windows 7 I do the following to get everything to fit. I have an HP computer and printer, so I use the HP picture viewer to print my sheets. After I select the sheet I want to print, I select print. A new window opens, I select the type of paper I want to print on, and what size I am printing. At the bottom of the screen is where I select the number of copies to print. Next to this is a check box labelled fit picture to frame. On my computer it has a check mark, I uncheck this box and the sheet then fits my USA paper size.
The European paper size is a little longer and slightly narrower than the US letter paper. I would like to try Crafty Bob's paper but have hesitated for several reasons, length of time for delivery and not sure my HP will work properly with the European paper size. It would be nice to hear from someone in the USA who have tried it and if they had any issues with size.

Hi Deborah I have a Canon printer.I selected paper size but it missed some of the design. I'll just have to keep practising. I read great thing's about crafty Bob's paper so I'm hoping for the best. I finally did photo sizes 5 x7 which worked out not too bad on some designs plus I got 2 on one piece.
I don't know about packages coming from the UK to here but I know that when we have sent boxes to my daughter it has taken less than a week to get there even at Christmas. I'll let you know how it all works out.
Mary thanks for the welcome.

All printers have different settings, but although I worked with Canon printers in the past I can't remember the specific settings for them.
Designs from CUP are A4 size, which is slightly different to US Letter sized paper, as already explained. When you go to print, go into Printer Settings, preferences or Printer Settings and make sure that every setting says Letter, as the original will be A4 trying to print onto Letter and will therefore chop a bit off in one direction and have a white edge in the other. My software has a "Best fit to page" option, and "preserve aspect ratio", which will shrink the image slightly to fit inside your particular paper without changeing the proportions. So have a good look through all the settings both in the graphics software you open the files in and for your printer as I'm sure there must be a way somewhere if you hunt for them - they may be hidden. GG

Hi pamsmum - it's great to see you here! It's a good place to be. (and someone always knows the answer to any queries, although it's not usually me...)
