New to scrapbooking

Hi all. I'm thinking about starting to scrapbook, how I will find the time I don't know but I'm new to this part of cardmaking and was wondering where do I start?

I am a bit of a hoarder and tend to keep momentoes from holidays etc. and was thinking of perhaps making several scrapbooks for each holiday with photos etc., I gather that is the general purpose of a scrapbook?

If anyone can help me out on where to start I would be grateful.

Many thanks

Hi Tracey
I started by organising photos in different subjects (e.g. if it was about one particular person, or holiday), then put them in yearly order, and kept in a small shoebox for each seperate subject (stored on top shelf of my craft cupboard to keep them tidy)...
You could seperate each 'subject' with bits of card standing up with names of people, or holidays, whatever the occasion.
You might want to put aside a couple of hours (or more depending) at night to do this!
Then I put the photos on the blank pages which stored them easier and flatter (for me anyway), but you might want to just keep them in the box and work page-by-page, might be easier that way.
It's a huge job the scrapbook!
Don't think I'll do another one for a while! Took me a couple of months to finish mine!
Have fun!
Hope this helped!
