Changing sizes

I designed a box using 'Make the Cut' and exported it so I could save it as an SVG file and then opened it in 'Silhouette Cameo; software because I prefer to make the perforations with this but the whole thing had changed size and was much smaller. I am sure I have done this before without a problem. Has anyone else come across this or know how to stop it happening?

Silhouette Studio doesn’t import SVG files at the correct size most of the time.

This is a method to re-scale drawings that aren’t the correct size: -

  • In Make the Cut, put a large square shape with no fill say 12” x 12” around all the shapes in the drawing
  • Save the file as SVG
  • Import the SVG file into Silhouette Studio
  • Open the Scale Window
  • Select ALL the drawing shapes including the large square shape
  • In the Specify Dimensions section, enter the width and height of the square shape (say 12” x 12”)
  • Then just delete the outer square box
