Tenerife had a cyclone last night

What is happening with our world, it's frightening. Ive lived in Tenerife for 20 years and the weather is getting more weird by the year. Two weeks ago we had an earthquake off the coast of Santa Cruz, everything shook and the whole family, dogs included ran out of the house, it lasted 7 seconds and that was it. Then last night we had a cyclone, everything on our roof garden, plants, furniture and new pergola took off, we spent the morning trying to retrieve our things from all over, only found a few bits though, everything broken.

Oh how awful for you. We all worry about the weather spoiling our holidays in the Canaries, but you forget that people live there all the time. Wasn't there a bad storm a few weeks ago too? We are visiting Gran Canaria in April, last time we went in Feb & it rained for most of the week. Lets hope the weather improves for all of us!!

Yeh,it rained nonstop for two days, so the rain coming down from the mountains built up, drains could'nt cope and the streets of Santa Cruz were flooded. February is the worst month of the year EVERY year, and it's the month Tenerife has their carnival. think they should change the event to July!!haha

Thanks girls for your concern, I think it actually sounds worse than it probably was, I mean it's not good happening a lot more often , my concern is that these are just introductions to the BIG ONE .....Mount Teide erupting!! Then I might have to stop cardmaking for a short whilehaha
