| Ben had tuma removed yesterday
We nearly lost Ben my Boxer yesterday. The vet said he was bleeding internally and would have died if we had not got him there when we did. They operated on him last night finishing at midnight. At one point they phoned us and said he had a massive tuma that could not be removed as it was all around his internal organs. Then ten mins later they rang back and said they had managed to take it all out. We went and collected him today he is not out of the woods yet. They said he had lost a lot of blood, but he did not like it at the vets and would not settle. He kept pacing the kennel and would not rest. The vet thought it would be better if he was resting at home. So I am going to be sleeping on the sofa and worrying all night. Please all keep your fingers crossed for my baby boy. He is 111!2 years old but he does not act it. The vet is a neighbour of ours and he is popping round leter to check on him and give him his pain relief. We have got to take him back to the vets tommorow as he may have to go back on the drip. This is so ageing. xxxxxxx |

Lesley I'm so sorry to hear your news. It's devastating when a pet is ill as you feel so helpless. I hope Ben improves and recovers.

Lesley, I feel so sad for you and Ben. I feel especially close to him after he graciously allowed me to make a sheet with his smiling mug on it. He's such a dear "little" fellow, isn't he? I'll be thinking of you and hoping he gets better soon so you don't have to worry, worry, worry nights. Take care of yourself as much as possible, that will be less strain on Ben as they always know when we are stressed. He needs lots of LOVE vibes, and he's getting them from you and from all over the world here on the forum. Be sure to pass on our thoughts and hugs from all of us, too.
