You would never have guessed that he was bleeding internally again. The vet said that the tuma had detatched itself and was bleeding into his stomach and it was best for him to be put out of his pain. Oh lesley I'm so sorry, the poor mite must have been in terrible pain, you did all you could for him but it was right that you ended his misery when you did, and of course your home is going to feel empty for a while and you will feel lost without him, but try to remember the many lovely moments he has given you and savour them, time is a wonderful healer, my heart goes out to you and your family.xxx

Thank you your all so kind. xxxxxxx I am struggling with washing things that he has laid on, like my duvet. I feel like a traitor that I am getting rid of every trace of him. I will have to wash it tommorow though. Keep putting it off. Duvet will get up on its own soon and walk down to washing machine. xxxxxx

Aww poor your, Lesley, do'nt feel like a traitor, you can never wash the lovely memories of him away, they are already stored in your heart to draw on any time you need, I must admit i've always kept a memento of my dogs, usually their collars, of which |I have a few now, bearing in mind I've fostered a lot of dogs that were hospice dogs. it's just a little something, but it's practical, and could be used again if needed, although I never have yet! I feel for you.xx

Lesley - I'm so sorry to hear about Ben. I've never had dogs, but I have a 14 year old cat called Gizmo and I am dreading the day when I lose her. I have lost a couple of cats over the years and it is heart breaking. Animals are so comforting. They never criticise, they just take you for what you are.

All I can see is that you have your memories and photos. I know that won't help at the moment, but in time - It will. You WILL be able to look back and smile at how he made you feel.

Soo sorry
