Hi Diane, How are you? You have not been on the forum for a while. Have you heard anything from the hospital?

I hope you are not doing too much decorating. Keep well.

Sorry I haven't replied Annelies xxx Faith just text me to let me know you'd left a message, here now haha xxx I was told to wait up to 2 weeks for the results, phoned the doctors to see if they had them, nope, phoned the hospital where the scan was done and they gave me the number for the hospital who were looking at the scan, it turns out I should never have been told 2 weeks, they have a backlog !!!! now there's a surprise, so still waiting, most likely get them after New Year xx Thank you so much for asking honey xx as for the DIY, well, I lifted up the laminate which needed re laying, have done some of the skirting, ran out!! and today I hung the lining paper on the damamged wall and have just finished painting it !! I know, am to take it easy, but couldn't look at it any longer hee hee Still having some problems walking, taking pain killers most days, and walking on ice is petrifying !!! but, I'm plodding on xxx Have a fab Xmas Annelies and again, thanks for thinking of me, but you know me, I'll be fine xxxxxx TC Diane xx

Thanks for letting me know Diane. I have been thinking about you most days but in a way maybe it is better to know after the new year so that you can enjoy it without worrying about anything but then you worry because you don't know. So keep well and please try and pace yourself.

With regards to the ice, have you thought about getting ice grips for your shoes. Not sure if that is the name or not but QVC sell them and you just put them around your shoes. They are like crampons. They are fairly inexpensive, I think they are about £12 and you get two sets. If you are wearing your jeans most people wouldn't even notice you had them on. You should have a look at their website.

We have had about two weekends of snow here in Glasgow but I think you have had more then us.

Keep well and have a fantastic Christmas and New Year.

Well folks, a quick pop in to update you on the results of my MRI scan, I still haven't had them fully as I've been away, but, had a call from my doctor and he's made an appointment for me to go and see him this coming wednesday, yip, not good news I'm affraid, the doctor gave me some onfo but said he'd need to talk things through with me properly, but, from what he told me things aint that great, it seems there's problems with some discs in my back and quite a bit of wear and tear, as yet though I don't know the full extent, but I will be referred to a specialist once i've seen my doctor, once I know all there is to know I'll pop back and let you all know xx I've really appreciated so many of you leaving me messages and asking how I am, it's heart warming to know that there are people thinking about me xx many thanks everyone xxx TC Diane xx

Sorry you didn't get better news. Hope that you are able to manage the pain reasonably well. Backs are such a tricky thing to deal with. My sister has had 2 back surgeries over about 35 or 40 years. The last one was about a year ago. She is finally pain free in terms of her back, of course can't fly because of all the metal. I always worry that she is going to fall (she has a history of falling) and re-injure her back. Anyway you will be in my thoughts and I hope you hear better news after your next doctors visit.

Hi Diane, Thank you so much for letting us know how things are. You know in a way it is kinda good news, I know the back is fragile, but it could have been so much worse. Maybe doing all the work you have been doing has affected your back. Did you ever have a sore back or did you just ignore it. If so...............naughty girl...............slap on the wrists.

Nowadays they can do so much for you. So please do not do anything else until you have seen the Doc, but whatever the outcome I am sure they will be able to help in some way.

Take care
Annelies
