Talking Things that made me laugh 'til I cried...

Amidst the doom and gloom I like to have a good laugh and I know I'm not alone. We all must have things in our life that have made us laugh so why not share them? I will go first.

A few years ago I was having a large dinner party. For dessert I had made a beautiful banoffee pie (for those of you who don't know it has a crispy base, and layers of banana, caramel and cream).

It had been a noisy dinner party with lots of conversation. I served the pie, leaving myself 'til last (naturally!). As I sat down to begin my pie I realised it had gone very quiet. I looked around the table and realised that my home made caramel was like industrial strength superglue! Not one person could prise their teeth apart! I just laughed until I cried!!!!!! I still laugh when I remember all the faces trying to look polite......

Something that made me chuckle lately was something my youngest nephew said. My brother, his wife and the two boys (4 and 5) were over for Sunday lunch and the youngest was refusing to eat carrots (which he's always loved). The eldest told me that carrots were good for you, his mother had told him that they were nutricious and helped him see in the dark.

The youngest piped in - he didn't need to eat carrots to help him see in the dark - he had a torch!

Now how do you answer that one?

Love the video. Years ago an elderly lady neighbour advised me to give my baby some paper to tear up as it kept them amused for hours - she was right and it hasn't had any detrimental effects on them as they are all avid readers and love books.

My daughter has kept the family amused and puzzled for years. When she was about 5 - sitting round the table after an evening meal she came out with " Dad, what's the difference between Fairy Liquid and fair enough". None of us has come up with an answer yet.
