Wow... what a long day it's been, I last saw my bed on Sunday night and that was only for a few short hours. There were signs that our new canine family were about to be born but it took longer than I thought, they eventually came out early hours of this morning and we now have 4 handsome little boys and a beautiful little girl

It's been exhausting for all of us but mother and babies are doing really well

Congratulations Janine! I bet they are gorgeous.

I only ever had one litter, about 19 years ago. I enjoyed every minute of it but I could never do it again. I got way too attached and out of three puppies I ended up keeping two!!

It might be a while before you catch up on all that lost sleep.

Mummy is being very very protective over them, she doesn't mind us touching them at all and let me borrow them so they could be weighed and checked over but she's not keen on leaving them, I've had to carry her outside to the loo and when she has her food, if I don't put it right under her nose, she won't eat it. I think she'll calm down in a day or two once she gets used to them.

I've attached a photo of them all feeding, so tiny and delicate... my little furry grandchildren I'm in love
