That old chestnut (again!)

When looking for a particular kind of card, I like to see one made up. I have lost count of how many times today I have tried to do this but found that a picture of a completed card has not been uploaded. So, that's a sale down the drain!

Quite agree Jan. I am always so grateful to the cardmakers who put up finished versions of my designs. Not only does it illustrate the design better, the cardmakers have often given their own twist to it and this gives other cardmakers more ideas of what can be achieved with a particular sheet.

"...... their own twise" - So true June. I have to confess to copying one of Faith's cards because I loved it so much.

That's 1/2 the joy Jan.
I love it when I find that the card I want is a gold star - that way I can make the card for myself AND upload it to give others an idea of what can be achieved. As we all have such different tastes it's extra nice when some-one bothers to buy the design & upload their version for the rest of us.

just a guess

maybe its because its too new and although otheres have bought it, they might be like me downloading ones I know will be ideal for people but not needed just yet so i dont make a card until need to with it.I am also a typical crafter of buying things I like just to "have it" like all the hourdes of paer, stamps etc that we accumulate to look at !!
I do love it though to see the finished card too, and sometimes would like to see several versions as i sometimes do not use them as is but make my cards a different shape or size and decoupage ones that are not decoupage just to give it a twist but if that design has a picture I thought only one could go with it.

Awww....but it's just your imagination that stops you buying the sheet - buy it anyway and do it justice your OWN way Jan!! Don't wait for someone else's method, it's more of a challenge and much more exciting!!! With a bit of luck, the sheets that don't eventually get made may come your way for you to make them up!!! It's all good fun!!

As a designer I believe that designs with cards have the advantage.
The designer designs the card with an idea in mind of how they think it will look. Usually evident by the type of card.
The cardmaker comes along and makes it up with their twist on the design which in turn gives other cardmaker ideas.
Someone looking for a card, might think 'I like the card but I'd have done it with such and such' thus giving yet more ideas.

So I agree its great to see a design with a card displayed.

Thats why I put a link to all the cards with my gold stars still available in my signature area here.
Theres some there that I thought would've been taken already but they haven't.

I promote my designs by actively promoting finished cards by the cardmakers here on my blog too!!
