We got away lightly in my part of Cumbria - between the Lake District and the Pennines - only had 1/2 inch of snow and its almost gone now. The temperature is a balmy 2degrees! Was a bit foggy earlier but the sun is trying to come through now.

The rest of the week is forecast to be cold - especially the night-time temperatures. So thermals stay on!

Hi all, still here!!! the wind eventually dropped around 5.30 this morning, which is when I went to bed, but had to get back up at8.30 to take the dogs out, they wouldīnt go out in it last night, so were bursting this morning!! it was very very calm until around 11am then it started again. nothing like last night, just really windy, and cold! itīs still at it now, but ive watered all my plants so that the pots are really heavy and pushed them all around the edge of the wall...just in case! itīs a breqautiful sunny day, just howling cold wind!! very odd! have managed to get two washed done and dried without blowing away, so it īs n ot all bad!
