Wow guys, what an assortment of tastes!!!! I love almost anything, my eldest, who is 20 in a few weeks, likes some of the stuff I used to listen to, he thinks the Cure are pretty brill, well of course they are, but then I listen to some of the stuff he lies too, don't think any of you are that much into dubstep, paramore and the likes but hey, if you like you like. I remember when I got my pocket money from my grandparents, I would run over to the local shop and buy the singles that had been in the old jukeboxes, lol, ah the good old days. As for Showaddywaddy,Dawn, I saw them live a few years back and desperately wanted to take my album with me to have it signed, the guy I was seeing at the time was mortified and wouldn't let me take it, what a bummer!!!! Jean have fun rummaging fro the old vinyls darling, it'll keep you out the arcades for a while lol. Keep them coming guys, let the good times and the memories roll |

Oh dear now I'm going to feel old....my first vinyl was an album by Elvis Presley back in 1968/9. I do still have it along with about 50 other albums and close on 80 singles all packed away in the loft. I think it got pretty scratched along the way but don't have the heart to throw it away. I really should get a turntable and give them a spin but I guess the sound quality would be awful compared to todays digital standards, but they would bring back a few memories I bet. |

Good grief I feel even older now . 1st 78 was Big Man by the Four Preps in the 50s with my mum, 1st 45 was Pretty Paper by Roy Orbison, the 1st album or LP was Beatles For Sale and the 1st EP was Twist and Shout by the Beatles.

Having read all the posts on this thread i think I must have gone through a real weird stage as my 1st single was Argent, Hold Your Head Up and 1st album was Family, Anyway. I have a load of records that I wouldn't throw out if my life depended on it. I had them in alphabetical order and always laughed at the bs, 'cos it was The Beatles, then Berlioz, then Black Sabbath

Hi
I think my first single was Feels like I'm in love, think it was by Kelly Marie. Can't remember first album, probably Duran Duran, still love them now!
I used to listen to my mum and dads stuff before I got records of my own, Beatles, ELO, Carpenters etc. Still love that stuff too.
